FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

To help you with your choice, listed below are the most commonly asked questions we receive.

Questions you may have about Quality Marquee Hire

Do you offer Free, no obligation site visits?

Yes, we always offer a free site visit, at a time to suit you. (Evening and Weekends are quite normal visit times). We use this opportunity to view your site and discuss your requirements in more detail. We also bring photos of our marquees and examples of several of our other products. As part of our site visit we can utilise our Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to give you a better idea of what we can offer and how the dressed marquees will look. Then we will produce an itemised Quotation for your perusal.

When do we need to confirm the booking?

Many people and organisations book their marquees over a year in advance. To guarantee your requirements are met, we therefore recommend you contact us at the earliest opportunity if you have any specific dates in mind. however we hold extensive stocks and will do our utmost to satisfy your requirements whenever you call us.

How long will it take to erect the marquee?

This will depend to a certain extent on the size of the event, access to the site etc. However, we always aim to have the marquee(s) erected in time to give the florists, caterers etc. one full day prior to the event. if the marquee is required for further events this can be arranged but as a general rule we like to clear the site at the earliest convenient time.

How long can we keep the marquee for?

Most events occur over the weekend. Typically we will erect the marquee(s) on the previous Wednesday and or Thursday and remove them on the Monday. However if you want the marquee erected a day sooner or taken down on the Sunday we will do our utmost to make this possible.

If my guest numbers increase, how far in advance will I need to let you know?

We are proud of the flexibility we offer. Experience tells us that every event will have numbers that change right up to the last minute. We are

aware of this and can adapt to meet your final requirements. All we ask is that you let us know as soon as you know about any changes.

What types of flooring are available?

For most events we normally supply a carpet (choice of colours), which is laid and secured on a plastic membrane to prevent dampness. However if you are holding a winter event and the ground is uneven, we will normally recommend you have a wooden floor laid on the ground first with a carpet secured on top.

What about my garden, will the marquee damage it?

We are very careful to ensure that from the moment we arrive on site until the time that we leave, we remember that we have been invited into your garden. We make every effort to ensure that all we leave, is an area of flattened grass. As the carpet will have been down for a couple of days, you will find that the lawn will be a little yellow but a good watering and a sunny day will ensure it will be as good as new within a week or so.

On warm days can the window walls be opened?

Yes, the marquees are very flexible. We provide as part of the price, one side of Georgian Window wallswhich are laced down the middle. These can be easily pushed back during the day and then in the evening they can be very quickly and easily pulled back similar to curtains. Also you can have entrances and exits where ever you require them.

On a cold day, will heaters keep the marquee warm enough?

Heater technology has advanced greatly in recent years and our Indirect Heating system which is thermostatically controlled and keeps the marquee(s) surprisingly warm even in the middle of winter. Even in summer a heater may be required however this decision can be left until a couple of days before the event.

If there is a storm, what will happen to the marquee?

Our British Made Multispan Marquees comply to British safety standards and are manufactured to a windspeed rating of up to 80mph. All the equipment meet the stringent British Fire Retardancy Standards. The marquees are erected by our experienced crew and a member of our management team will always be on site, to ensure the structure is erected according to manufacturers recommendations.
